Blogs can serve a unique purpose 🌐
I’m no expert in SEO (search engine optimization). I’m actually pretty new to this world. But I’ve started to see it as a powerful way to do Step 12: carrying the message.
There are so many beautiful ways to carry the message: talking with a friend or a stranger in need, going to meetings, sponsoring, doing service — the list goes on.
But maybe because of my technical background, I see a big opportunity here.
All the WhatsApp groups, apps, and social platforms where people connect about recovery… the meetings, the phone calls, the DMs — the community is thriving. But none of those conversations can be searched through Google, or read by AI tools when someone types in a recovery question.
A blog can.
A blog post can show up in a Google search. AI companies can scan and train their models from it and use it to answer questions. If we combine that with moderation tools — to surface the most helpful posts — then those posts are more likely to be seen, shared, and indexed. That means they’re more likely to reach someone who can relate, laugh, or find the strength to start or continue their recovery.
The question I get a lot is: “What already exists like this for the recovery community?”
From what I’ve found, Reddit is probably the closest thing: people can post, it’s searchable, and AI can use it. But Reddit is huge, and recovery / 12-step voices often get drowned out by everything else.
There are also other blog platforms like Medium, or people’s personal blogs. I love those. My hope is that people who already write about recovery will see adxict.com as another place to share their work.
Beyond the connection and growth, adxict.com also exists to make some of that experience, strength, and hope more visible and easily discoverable for all.
